A day with Kiwalk.

You don’t do anything special. Your phone counts, the ring fills up, the tiers wait for you. Here’s how it goes.

An example day: cumulative steps and tiers cleared

Your steps over a typical dayYour stepsTiers
  1. 8:30 amMorning commutePhone in your pocket, app closed. The counter keeps going anyway.
  2. 12:30 pmLunch breakFirst tier cleared. The Kiwis wait for you, grab them whenever you like.
  3. 6:15 pmWalk homeOne more tier. They add up.
  4. 8:45 pmEvening strollAnother one. The next can wait until tomorrow.
  5. 9 pmOne tapYou collect your Kiwis. Forgot? Yesterday’s steps will still be waiting tomorrow.

The ring

A kiwi slice that fills up.

  1. 1The start, at the topThe ring starts from zero every morning and fills up with your steps.
  2. 2Tiers, around the edgeEach one pays Kiwis. The amount is shown before you reach it.
  3. 3Today’s steps, in the middleAlong with how far it is to the next tier.
  4. 4One button to collectAt any hour. And if you forget, yesterday’s steps are waiting the next day.

The counter

Your phone is already the pedometer.

Automatic counting in the background, easy on your battery. We read your steps and distance, nothing else. No GPS.

Android

Steps are read through Health Connect. You choose what Kiwalk can read, and you can revoke access whenever you like.

iPhone

Steps come from Apple Health. Same idea: read-only, and only what Kiwalk needs.

No shortcuts

Kiko doesn’t fly, and neither do we.

If cheaters won, there would be less left for people who actually walk. So every step is checked before it pays.

  • Checked stepsShaking your phone won’t stand in for a walk.
  • Everything shown upfrontWhat a Kiwi is worth and the minimum to redeem are always on screen before you confirm.
  • Nothing shifts quietlyWhat you see before you reach a tier is what you get.
